Broken. Not Alone.

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

Psalm 147: 3

Disappointed in myself. While washing dishes, I dropped my Nicaragua mug in the sink, shattering the handle in three pieces. This mug is very special to me. I stood at the trashcan, about to throw it away, but something told me to stop. What a beautiful picture of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We are all fractured, broken, and in need of a Savior. Luckily, Christ is waiting to put all of our pieces back in order. He is waiting. A little super glue and some Kentucky engineering, and my mug is now a daily reminder of how much I need to lay my broken pieces at the foot of the cross. The mug will never be the same, and that's ok. His grace and love ensure that we don't have to be the same either. That, is better than ok.
